In 1965, Walter Padgett had a vision. As a small business owner in rural Athens, Georgia, he witnessed local business owners struggling with the financial aspects of running their own companies. His solution? Create a financial services company focused on helping small business owners thrive more in business. Over the years, that vision became Padgett Business Services and its parent company, SmallBizPros, Inc.

In 1987, Padgett began franchise operations in Canada. Within a few years, Canadian offices were established in centres across the country. We are currently the major provider of accounting services to our market segment within Canada.
